We are proud to announce that the Winthrop Food Pantry is the 2022 recipient of the Griffin-Guerrette Charitable Giving Fund.
To assist human service, social welfare, or other charitable, non-profit organizations in Kennebec County by making an annual donation of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) to an agency selected through an application process.
The Griffin-Guerrette Charitable Giving Fund was created to recognize Judith A. Griffin and Paul G. Guerrette for nearly seventy years of dedicated service to Trademark Federal Credit Union* and to the communities surrounding the Augusta area.
Judy began her Credit Union career in 1967, working in all areas of the operations over 45 years before retiring in 2012. On her way to the position of President/CEO, where she remained for 25 years, she met Paul, a recent graduate with a degree in geology looking for work. Paul started at the Credit Union in 1986 and rose to the position of Executive Vice President through hard work, dedication, and a penchant for solving problems and providing for unmet needs.
Once they joined forces, they became a productive, compassionate, and inseparable team, combining their talents to serve the Credit Union, the Members, and their fellow citizens – at work and in their personal lives. Their service provided a constant source of inspiration to their family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances alike. They richly deserve the recognition the Board of Directors proudly presented to them by establishing this fund in 2012.
* Trademark Federal Credit Union was created when Alliance of Maine FCU (formerly Central Maine Power Co. Employees FCU) and Hannaford Associates FCU joined forces in 2010. The credit unions were chartered in 1936.
