Congratulations to the City of South Portland on the unveiling of their first-ever Skate Park!

This new 10,000 square-foot park on Nelson Road is free and open to skaters and rollerbladers of all levels. The project was years in the making and volunteers were able to raise more than $140,000, which helped cover more than a quarter of the construction costs. Trademark was proud to be among those sponsors.

The Trademark Team felt very passionate about this project. “This is a great place for kids to interact with one another and build social and interpersonal skills. Additionally, for those perhaps struggling with fitting into traditional sports clubs, this park can offer an alternative place to find that sense of belonging, while promoting a healthy lifestyle,” said Melissa, Trademark’s Director of Marketing.

The grand opening was held on World Skateboard Day and featured live music, a food truck, and a skateboarding competition.

We’re proud to be part of such an inclusive community. Now let’s get out there and do some “kickflips” and “ollies”!
