An Update About President and CEO, Joann Bisson
It is with bittersweet emotions that we announce the departure of our President and CEO, Joann Bisson. Over the past 12 years, Joann has led Trademark Federal Credit Union through a number of positive transitions, including the expansion of our charter in 2018 and the opening of our new branch in South Portland in 2020. Under Joann’s leadership, we have maintained our commitment to exemplary Member services and to our mission of helping our Members build and sustain financial security. We wish her all the best in her new role at Oxford Federal Credit Union and know she will be a fantastic addition to their team.
A Note from Joann:
“Trademark has been my home for over 12 years. We have seen such growth in the organization as well as in the strength of our team. The circumstances of the pandemic provided me time to reflect on what is most important in life. This new role at Oxford FCU has offered me the opportunity to move closer to my family while staying in an industry that I love. The decision to leave such a wonderful team and membership was probably the hardest one I have ever made. I have complete faith in the Trademark team and the Board of Directors, and know they are well positioned to continue on a path of forward momentum.”
As we reluctantly say goodbye to Joann, we are confident that we will be in good hands with our new President and CEO, Peter St. Onge. Peter brings 12 years of credit union experience with him to his new role, most recently coming from Infinity Credit Union. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Peter and look forward to getting to know him better in the coming months.
Meet our New President and CEO, Peter St. Onge:
Dear Members of Trademark Federal Credit Union,
Today, I personally express my genuine, sincere gratitude as the newest member of the Trademark Federal Credit Union team. As a Member, you already know Trademark’s history of depth, longevity, and tradition within our incredible state of Maine. What you might not realize is the year 2010 was not only significant in Trademark’s history, but also in mine. As the two original credit unions merged to form Trademark in 2010, I was embarking on a career in the credit union industry that same year. I look forward to my new role with a sense of humility and excitement, as well as a sense of responsibility to deliver financial wellness for all of our Members.
Born and raised in Biddeford, I am a true Mainer at heart, with an understanding of our state’s values, work ethic, and sense of togetherness. Today, I still call Biddeford home with my wife of 15 years and our two incredible children. At my core, I believe in the value of community as well as time well spent making memories with family. These same core values are at the center of Trademark’s purpose of people helping people. My credit union career has been blessed with extraordinary people and professional relationships. With roots grounded in lending, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow in all areas of our business and my passion for creating Member experiences has led me here. At Trademark, we make it our business to know our Members’ stories and to deliver tailored financial solutions. Our relatively new charter allows us to positively impact more Members of our local communities. This, combined with our good-hearted, hardworking Trademark team, has me most excited about our future together.
Trademark is a place where our Members and employees are appreciated and valued. It’s a credit union with a long-standing tradition of respect and an eye to the future and all the possibilities it holds.
I thank you for the opportunity to be a part of our credit union’s very promising future and I look forward to serving as your new President and CEO.
Respectfully and sincerely, Peter St. Onge
