Trademark Turns 85!

Happy birthday to us!

Trademark was formed in 1936, in the midst of the Great Depression. People needed a safe and trusted place to put their money and a safe and fair place to borrow money.

The Credit Union was founded by two separate employee groups: Cumberland County Power and Light (now CMP) and associates of Hannaford Bros.  These employees came together at their companies, with some people depositing money so that others could borrow from it.  Each person received a benefit from participating in this cooperative financial arrangement.

In 2010, the two credit unions merged to become one credit union, Trademark.

In 2018, Trademark opened the membership charter to include all businesses and people who live, work, worship, or attend school in Cumberland, Sagadahoc and Kennebec counties.

In 2021, we are celebrating 85 wonderful years of serving an amazing group of people in some of the greatest communities – thank you for your continued Membership throughout these years!

Join us in the celebration!

85 Random Acts of Kindness

Let’s spread kindness through our communities with our 85 Acts of Kindness initiative!  We will be sharing stories, pictures and videos of those acts on our Facebook page and invite you to share your stories too!

An act of kindness can be anything from paying for someone’s coffee, to making someone smile, to participating in a fundraiser – there is no act too big or too small.

To share your acts of kindness you can share here on our page, or use the hashtag #trademark85actsofkindness and we’ll be happy to share the stories. You can also send an email to Mel at: Melissa.Goode@TrademarkFCU.org and she will share your stories on our page.
