On May 1st, a group of volunteers from Trademark had the pleasure of participating in South Portland Middle School’s World Cultures Day. This vibrant event celebrated the diverse cultural heritage of the school’s community through a range of activities, food, and workshops.

Our team was delighted to be part of this special day by helping serve food samples from various cultures. The array of dishes represented the rich cultural backgrounds of the students’ families and local restaurants. From the spicy flavors of samosas to the sweet delight of cannolis, and the savory taste of Iraqi rice, the food offerings were a true culinary journey around the world.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to engage in numerous workshops that highlighted different aspects of world cultures. One of the standout sessions was a Salsa dancing workshop, where students not only learned new dance moves but also gained an appreciation for the cultural significance of dance.

Our involvement in World Cultures Day was a rewarding experience for the Trademark Team. We were able to connect with the students and the community in a meaningful way, and it was heartwarming to see the joy and curiosity on the faces of the students as they explored and celebrated different cultures.

We are honored to have been part of such a wonderful event and are proud to now call ourselves honorary Sharks, the spirited mascot of South Portland Middle School. It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and a shared appreciation for the diverse world we live in.

Thank you, South Portland Middle School, for allowing us to be part of this incredible celebration!
