At Trademark, we take pride in our team’s dedication not only to their professional roles but also to their community involvement. Today, we’re excited to spotlight Wendy, who has embarked on a compassionate journey of fostering dogs through the Kennebec Valley Humane Society (KVHS).

Wendy’s commitment to fostering began as a volunteer opportunity and has blossomed into a labor of love. She has recently welcomed her fourth foster dog into her home, a testament to her dedication and big heart. Her current foster, Layla, is a 3.5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog and Lab mix, known for her sweet and gentle nature.

Layla’s story is one of hope and healing. She is undergoing treatment for heartworm over the next few months, and Wendy is using some of her Trademark volunteer time to ensure Layla receives the necessary medical appointments. This support allows Wendy to provide the best care for Layla during this critical time.

“Right now, she’s just settling in and seems pretty easygoing and ‘chill’,” Wendy shared with a smile. “We’ll see how her personality comes out as she gets more comfortable and hopefully starts feeling better.”

Throughout the upcoming months, we will be following Wendy and Layla’s journey, sharing updates and heartwarming stories of Layla’s progress and adventures. By early Fall, we hope to see Layla ready for adoption with a clean bill of health, thanks to the care and dedication of Wendy and the KVHS team.

Stay tuned for more updates on Wendy’s fostering journey and the incredible dogs she helps along the way. We are proud to support Wendy in her volunteer efforts and inspired by the positive impact she’s making in the lives of these deserving animals.
